Let's talk

Got a behavior that won't budge?

Whether you need a new strategy, a behavioral audit, a team workshop or an evaluation, a short message is the best first step.

What to expect when you contact us

Reaching out to a behavior change consultant should be easy. Here is how it works:

  1. 01

    Send a short note

Use the form, email or phone. A few lines are enough.

  2. 02

    We reply with questions

We ask what we need to understand your goals and context.

  3. 03

    Discovery call

We listen, share early thoughts and agree whether we're the right fit.

  4. 04

    A clear proposal

If it makes sense, we send a simple scope, timeline and budget for your review.

Before your discovery call

You don't need a polished brief to get in touch. Still, a little preparation helps us give you more useful advice on the first call. If you can, think about:

  • The behavior. What exactly do you want people to do, or stop doing?
  • The people. Who are they, where are they, and who influences them?
  • What you know. Any data, past evaluations or research you already have.
  • What you've tried. Campaigns, services or products that are already in place.
  • Constraints. Timeline, budget range, donor requirements or reporting deadlines.

Share whatever you have. Partial answers are fine, and we'll fill the gaps together. Everything you send is treated as confidential.

How a behavior change consultant can help

Most clients contact us for one of four reasons, matching our four services:

Not sure which fits? That's normal. A behavior change consultant can help you frame the problem first. You can also read about our approach or who we are.

If you'd like background reading before we talk, the World Health Organization's guide to behaviour change campaigns is a useful starting point.

Talking to an SBCC consultant in Nairobi, Kenya

When you contact us, you speak directly with an experienced behavior change consultant, not a sales team. We will ask about the behavior you want to change, the people you need to reach, your timeline and your budget. Even if we are not the right SBCC consultant for your needs, we will try to point you to useful resources or other specialists.

A first call usually takes 30 to 45 minutes and there is no charge or obligation. After the call, if it makes sense, we will send a short note summarizing what we heard and suggesting next steps, such as a proposal, a scoping exercise or a quick review of existing materials.

Sending a ToR or EOI

If you have a ToR, EOI or request for proposals, please attach it to your email or mention the procurement reference. Let us know the submission deadline and any required formats, and we will confirm quickly whether we can respond. Our page on working with us explains how we prepare proposals and the contract types we accept.

If you are still writing your ToR, our guide on how to write an SBCC ToR may help.

FAQ

Questions before you get in touch

What should I include in my message?

A few lines on the behavior you want to change, who you need to reach, where, and any timeline or budget range. If you're not sure yet, that's fine. A behavior change consultant can help you shape the question.

Do you work outside Kenya?

Yes. We are based in Nairobi and work with clients across Africa and worldwide, remotely or in-country.

What happens after I get in touch?

We read your note, reply with a few questions, and suggest a time for a discovery call. On the call we listen, share initial thoughts and agree whether and how we can help.

Can you join a proposal or bid?

Yes. We can support proposals as a behavior change consultant or technical partner. Contact us as early as possible so we can contribute properly.
